Global government services company in Reston, VA seeks part-time Contracts Specialist for virtual contracts development and management.

Hours/Schedule:  Approximately 20 hours/week to start, could reduce to 10 hours/week over time, all hours virtual 

Rate: TBD based on experience

Job Description: This position reports to the Vice President, Alliances and is responsible for creation, administration, and monitoring of contracts with government agencies, commercial clients, and business partners.

Responsibilities: 
  • Develops strategy for establishing contracts for an innovative suite of offerings
  • Create templates and negotiate terms for contracts including NDAs, statement of work, B to B partner agreements as well as unique contract situations including the exchange of services and products
  • Acts as advisor regarding contractual requirements, risk mitigation, customer specifications and government regulations
  • Reviews and advises management, program managers, and other internal clients on contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of contract terms and conditions
  • Prepares and disseminates information throughout the company regarding contract status, compliance, modification, deviation, negotiation, and termination
  • Provides regular reporting to senior management on contract issues
Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor’s degree and five to ten  (5-10) years related experience in contracts administration/management, demonstrating increased responsibility
  • Deep understanding of contracts, both government and commercial, and experience managing a variety of contract types
  • Experience creating unique agreements that focus on exchange of services/products
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment and relate well to others
  • Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage individual workflow efficiency and improve processes when necessary, readily adapting to changing requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills, communication skills and attention to detail
