Regional company that helps nonprofits, for-profits, healthcare, associations and organizations grow their eLearning business through distribution technology and services is looking for an experienced sales professional to work with them on a three-month program.  
 
Company: Regional company that helps its clients with eLearning business growth
 
Location: Regional company. This job is primarily virtual with occasional travel. Main client is in DC.
 
Job Type:  Contract. This will start out as a part-time 3-month assignment with opportunity for extension based on success.
 
Hours/Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours/week and up to 30 hours, flexible and mostly virtual.
 
Rate: TBD based on experience
 
Job description: The sales professional will help grow the distribution of the clients’ partner's eLearning products. The position reports to the VP Sales and Marketing/Strategic Account Manager.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Create strategic and tactical objectives for product sales
  • Drive sales to close bulk purchases of products
  • Establish channel partners
  • Help develop strategy and tactical action plans to identify target accounts
  • Close business to meet sales objectives  
  • Work independently to introduce products to B2B accounts resulting in revenue generation – market penetration
  • Help lead strategic product sales discussions at the Executive level
  • Be proactive in sales outreach via phone and email - no call hesitancy
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills (including oral, written, presentation and listening skills), as well as interaction and involvement across multiple departments and with clients
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is a plus
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in consultative selling & relationship management in the sales environment required
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in product sales skills 
  • Experience in positioning strategic consulting services to executive level decision-makers
  • Fluency in building a pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle; proposing, presenting and discussing solutions with executive decision-makers
  • Highly developed client service and client satisfaction focus required
  • Experience leading B2B product sales
  • Strong prospecting skills and proven experience in channel development is essential
  • Possess a proven track record of developing new business opportunities
  • Experience and ability in operating within a fast-paced, multi-disciplined virtual team
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in engineering or related field a plus
  • Skilled using Salesforce.com, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Web conferencing tools
  • Light travel required - however main client is in DC area
