Product Manager needed for newly created position within a fast-paced industry focused on bringing a new product to market and identifying opportunities for growth

Location:  Alexandria, VA

Hours / Schedule:  Approx. 20 hours per week   

Pay Rate:  $45 - $55/hour

Job Description:  The Product Manager is responsible for maximizing the business value of the product in order to meet corporate objectives of increasing revenue, driving new revenue streams and enhancing value to the customer. It is a new service offering that is currently being market tested in order to determine the viability of the concept.

Responsibilities:

In this role the Product Manager is focused on further developing the offering by managing the various stages of market testing. 
This will include:
  • conducting market research and feasibility studies
  • collecting and evaluating consumer feedback
  • conducting performance analysis and reporting to executive leadership team
 
The person in this role is expected to drive collaboration among cross-functional teams that will:
  • serve as the internal and external evangelists 
  • develop the go-to-market and pricing strategy
  • refine the product offering and define the customer experience based on consumer feedback
  • develop sales channel and oversee execution and fulfillment of advisory engagements
  • generate demand for the services
  • track and qualify leads and inquiries
  • collect and share competitive information
  • perform other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus
  • 5-7 years of professional services marketing/product management experience, experience selling consulting and advisory services a plus
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
