Federal government contractor located in Fairfax VA seeks Contract Specialist to review and manage government contracts, sub-contracts, and teaming agreements.

Location: Fairfax, VA near Fair Lakes area

Job Type: Temp to permanent

Hours/Schedule: 5-10 hours/week, flexible schedule, hours could fluctuate each week, mostly virtual

Pay Rate: TBD

Job Summary:   Responsible for managing, directing, and controlling the contracting and sub-contracting functions for the firm’s contracts and programs.  This includes overseeing contract administration, handling complex issues regarding contracts and providing strategic input to executive management.   
 
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee contracts/subcontracts administration for the preparation, negotiation, acceptance and management of contracts and task orders of all types, including time and materials, firm-fixed price, fixed price, level of effort, cost plus award fee, GWAC, and IDIQ contracts with various Civilian, Defense, and Intel Federal Government Agencies and Teaming Partners.
  • Review, approve, process, and file all contracts, amendments, extensions, modifications, and related correspondence
  • Manage all contract administration functions (“cradle-to-grave”).
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate nondisclosure, teaming, service-level and other agreements.
  • Review and approve all contractual documents for the protection of the company's contractual posture, satisfaction of customer specifications and requirements, and adherence to company policy.
  • Advise corporate and project management of contractual rights and obligations and provide interpretation of contractual terms and conditions, including analysis of RFP’s and other solicitation documents.
  • Ensure the Company operates in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and all contractual terms and conditions.
  • Develop and document record-keeping processes for all matters contractual

Qualifications: 
  • 3-5 years of experience in Contracts
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline
  • In-depth knowledge of FAR/DFAR and other applicable government procurement regulations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
