Job Description:  
Reports to the Chief Operating Officer. Responsible for managing the accounting department along with providing financial information and coaching of everyone in the practice of open book management.  
 
Responsibilities:  
  • Manage all accounting operations including GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition 
  • Oversee the accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports, including monthly financial statements
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts and report variances
  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, employee reimbursements, commissions, payroll processing, payroll tax compliance and cash control
  • Manage accounts receivable to ensure the accurate and timely management of all A/R aging components, including billings and cash receipts
  • Manage MobileTechRx Invoicing system, and train staff in best procedures to automate A/R and optimize reporting
  • Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, and protect the company's value
  • Implement and update Accounting Policies Manual
  • Cross train employees to ensure smooth operations
  • Respond to Chief Operating Officer as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate his financial needs
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner; help non-accounting staff understand and become efficient in utilizing financial software and reporting

Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred. Relevant experience considered
  • CPA certification or pending certification preferred
  • At least 3 years of hands-on accounting experience
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge to include current technology and best practices
  • Well organized, knowledgeable and high attention to detail
