Energy firm seeks temporary part-time proposal writer to start immediately.

Position: Proposal & Sales Enablement Writer

Company:  Leading provider of cloud based intelligence software to domestic and European energy companies.  
 
Location: 
Lexington, MA

Schedule: 3 days per week, flexible during business hours

Job Type: Contract to permanent
 
Salary/Rate: 
$40 - $50/hr

Job Description: The Proposal & Sales Enablement Writer supports the worldwide sales organization by developing (a) timely and effective RFP/RFI responses and proposals and (b) clear, informative and/or persuasive content for Sales Enablement. Primary duties include:

Proposals & Responses:
  • Review RFP/RFIs for requirements and deadlines 
  • Work with Account Executive (AE) to understand client needs and develop proposal/response strategy, including Executive Summary 
  • Create, publish, and manage response timeline from beginning to end 
  • Schedule and lead response kickoff with all response team members 
  • Utilize Qvidian proposal library to identify existing answers to RFP questions 
  • Coordinate effectively with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) to obtain/create new answers as necessary to satisfy RFP requirements 
  • Coordinate with IT, Contracts, Finance, and other internal teams as necessary to satisfy RFP requirements 
  • Coordinate NDA execution and pricing and reference information with AE 
  • Copy edit/finalize functional, technical, and company information received from SMEs 
  • Produce final document(s) and coordinate submission of completed proposal/response 
  • Update SFDC as required to reflect submission and final documentation 
  • Upload new/improved answers to Qvidian 
Sales Enablement:
  • Create internal and external content as required for Sales, Account Management and/or Business Development team
  • Develop understanding of company/product positioning and messaging as a basis for compelling content 
  • Research trends in target verticals, HCM, and/or other areas of interest as a basis for content development, sales training, etc. 
  • Coordinate content development with Marketing, Product Marketing and/or other internal teams as required 
  • Assist with event/activity (e.g. training sessions, trade show participation, etc.) scheduling and coordination upon request 
Job Requirements:
  • Writing experience in a business/professional setting required; prior experience as an RFP and/or marketing writer preferred
  • Prior experience in the software industry experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Business Admin/Technical Writing, or related field
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to support content creation efforts that meet PeopleFluent’s branding, marketing, and legal standards
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong organization and time-management skills to keep pace with energetic sales and cross-functional teams
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to thrive in a multi-tasking/fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented with strong customer support skills
