Management consulting firm based in Alexandria, VA is looking for a Contracts/Office Manger 

Company: Management consulting firm working with government clients 

Location:  Virtual with occasional meetings in the Alexandria, VA office (must be in the DC metro area

Hours/Schedule: 20 hours week 

Rate:  $60/hour

Job Description: Pro-active and experienced office manager is currently needed to support a fast-growing successful company. The candidate should provide contracts administration including preparing invoicing, timesheet processing, monitoring contracts burn rates, forecasting, budgeting and financial reporting on contracts

Responsibilities:
 
  • Organize and manage back office operations and procedures
  • Prepare invoicing
  • Track timekeeping for different contracts
  • Review and approve expense reports against contracts terms and meeting US Government expense report requirements
  • Consolidate financial reports for the contracts to include: forecasts/outlooks, budget, month end close estimates, and various other data calls/requests. 
  • Prepare monthly variance reporting to senior leadership
  • Perform monthly outlooks and close
  • On board new contracts including setting up invoicing
  • Review and track client contracts and modifications
  • Review purchase requests/purchase orders for accuracy
  • Utilized financial, accounting, client and business knowledge and skills to effectively review, analyze, and interpret business and financial data in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner

Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor degree in business administration or accounting or other related degrees
  • A minimum of 10 years proven work experience in contracts administration and financials
  • Experience in US Federal Government contracting with understanding in FAR and GAAP
  • Experience in Quickbooks
  • Excellent time management and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work
  • Ability to exercise judgement and maintain highest levels of confidentiality
  • Experience exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive company information
  • Ability to work in a team environment
