Position: Marketing Manager (Part-time)

Company: Small financial services firm that provides valuation services including for stock option plans, gift and estate, purchase price allocations and shareholder buy-sell agreements. Services also include complex financial analyses, acquisition advisory/negotiations, and fairness opinions.

Location: Burlington, MA
Hours/Schedule:  approximately 20 hours per week (2 days on-site including Mondays, balance of time can be remote)
Salary: $35-45/hr based on experience

Job Description:  Marketing Manager's responsibilities would include:
  • Create and execute a lead generation campaign strategy to  support “deal flow” (number of prospective clients that would be suitable clients for the firm). Strategies include the following:
    • Targeted event sponsorship opportunities
    • Partner speaking engagements
    • Facilitate the drafting and placement of articles in appropriate publications
    • Standardize the design and oversee preparation and dissemination of company newsletters (monthly and quarterly)
    • Maintain  corporate website (word press), manage external technical support
    • Monitor corporate collateral and revise to keep current
    • Maintain and update both editorial calendar (including blog posts and industry whitepapers) and marketing event calendar
    • Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies for marketing outreach (e.g. webinars, e-mail campaign management, RSS)
    • Plan and oversee semi- annual cocktail reception or equivalent thereof
  • Brand promotion
    • Develop and execute marketing campaigns to support vertical “go-to-market” strategy
    • Administer limited advertising budget to maximize value
    • Develop marketing strategy to promote new brand framework and messages
    • Update and maintain social sites (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook)
    • Develop marketing strategy to promote transaction announcements
    • Research, evaluate, and recommend technologies and services for promoting Mirus as a thought leader to relevant industry publications
    • Research, evaluate, and recommend purchases of custom gifts and corporate “giveaways”
  • Measure results
    • Implement tracking methods for evaluating lead generation and brand promotion activities to determine return on investment
    • Report results to partners on a regular and predetermined basis
  • Miscellaneous
    • Help clean up, build and maintain database of corporate contacts
    • Strong writing/editing skills to support communications strategy
Job Requirements:  
  • Bachelor’s in Marketing or equivalent
  • 5+ years’ experience implementing marketing programs, preferably for a professional services firm
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Digital marketing experience
  • Some technical skills with websites
  • Constant Contact or other digital marketing software expertise
